Night on the Tyne

This is an often photographed place...just thought I would post one for critique...be gentle if you can, after all, it's just after Christmas

Cant critique as i have a lot to learn myself , but being from Newcastle I too have taken loads of photos of the Tyne and the bridges .
I haven't taken any night time pictures yet .
Your picture looks good to me . Nice colours .

I'm far from qualified to critique anyone's images, but it looks a bit soft, and a bit washed out to me.
I'm sure some of the landscape guys will be along soon with some good advice.

Yes I would agree it looks soft, but I think it might be because the image is really compressed?

Other than that, a solid attempt - I think a cheeky straighten would help (The Tyne Bridge looks like it's about to squash the Sage ), and taking the shot at the end of the Blue Hour (45-60 mins after sunset on a clear day) would really improve it. Oh and don't cut the top of the Tyne Bridge off, it is part of the shot and should be fully included.

I think its a nicely taken image, yes I agree that it appears to slope down to the right and I am wondering if the softness is due to diffraction. Looking at the starlight bursts on the street lights makes me feel the F stop may of been F16 or smaller.
