Nikon 18-55 Kit Lens

Has anyone owned both the 18-55 VR and the new 18-55 VR II?

Interested to know which you found to be the best.

I think the lens is identical but the vr is updated and improved.

Is it the new tiny vr2 version you're looking at? It looks nice.

Is the VR2 noticeably better than the VR on the original? The VR on my 18-105 that I had was crapola. Tamrons VC is where it's at.
