though it was only £379 instore and the tamron was £119 instead of £169.

My OH is picking it up for me, with some filters etc.

Though im not sure if the Tamron will auto focus on the d60 or manual focus.

Cant wait for it to come so I can play about with it, have never owned a D-slr before, only a bridge slr.

But I start my photography course on Monday (yaya!) so I kinda need one :D

I got one not to long ago and love it. I got annoyed with the kit lens pretty fast but I will be upgrading it soon enough :naughty:

If you can live without the VR on the kit lens, Argos do it a fair bit cheaper. I done a lot of price checking and discovered this at the last minute.

The Tamron 70-300 mm f/4-5.6 Di (model A17) will auto focus.

This is a list of compatible lenses that I found, a bit old since there is a few new lenses on the market, but you can easily update it.

Thank you :D

So its a good camera then.

My college uses canon and I was looking at the 1000d but I somehow prefer the Nikon even though it doesnt have as many focus point things the man in Jessops was talking about.

Thanks for the list Fuudge
