Guys

These are a couple from a recent location shoot with a local Soul duo )based in Birmingham) the Mysteries.

I contacted a local scooter shop and had the loan of 2 scooters for a few hours.

The guys wanted a real vintage 'mod'/60's feel - C&C welcome

Love the mono one, not sure about the white "to let" sign in the second, it draws your eye awaty from the subjects a bit. Cracking pose though.

It certainly doesn't say northern soul to me I am afraid.. nowhere near.. first pic is good... Sorry to be more concerned about the title but that is an important part...

Mods yes... Northern Soul...No

I've been part of the northern soul scene for years and these images sum it up! Most of the people who attended the scene dressed like this and arrived on scooters.

Any more cc on the photos themselves?

Haa right.. Sorry I should have said then... I was at wigan casino the home of NS and anyone dancing northern soul all night long in a shirt and tie would have been mad! (For anyone that doesn't know.. NS is also famous for all nighters...litrally next morning) I also did a few all nighters at morecambe pier before they got moved...

Yes plenty of mods about but northern soul doesnt = mods. I would agree the pic is a good mod pic though :)

As for pic CC .. the title is a very big part of the picture and can make or break it in some instances such as a gallery.

just my thoughts as an original northern soul boy......
PS been nowhere near the scene for years.. mebbe its changed :)

That explains it then! lol!

Where I am the scene is a lot more Scooter led (I used to own a Vintage 1974 Vespa GT)

I agree about the title of an image but not necassarily the title of the thread?

Lambretta LI 150 here :)

Sorry i thought that was the title of the image.....oops :)

#1 is very good, love the tones (y)
#2 looks like a bit of a "Dear Deirdre" pose to me though :)

Definitely #1 for me - if you're playing about with it in PS you might want to see if you can do something with the reflection in the guys shades as you can just about see yourself taking the pic (y)
