By my reckoning, at the time of posting this will becomes the ninth deer thread on the front page. My flickr feed is full of stag photos everyone is posting. So apologies for the lack of originality of subject!

The rut has been on my radar for a while and I finally committed to giving it a go. I didn't enjoy the two 5am starts, but Richmond Park delivered. The slight overcast on Saturday gave a lovely diffuse light, then Sunday exploded in to golden fog (and brought out a large swarm of fellow photographers).

Cracking set, love the first one and the second to last (First Light), i too have been drawn in by the Rut this year, but not been getting up quite as early as yourself, maybe i need to put some more effort in ;)
