oil CD and water

placed an old Cd in shallow water added some cooking oil, moved the camera around until I got the light right- shot with a 105mm macro lens hand held

Thanks guys- it can also work by shooting the CD side on without oil or water

like this- just move the lens until light is refracted from the CD's

The red background one (golden globes) is ace (y) Would make a brilliant glossy poster print. Wonder if you could take it at 2 slightly different angles and superimpose to make a 3d image? Would jump out even more than it does already.

Hmm if I used a different angle- the oil refraction would create different colours, so Im not too sure on that- I'll give it a go and see what I get (y)
