I took this at the weekend and thought i would ask how i might improve on such a shot

This already looks pretty good to me, I presume it was originally colour? so the proccessing is very nicely done. Thumbs up for that.

Maybe you could of moved to the right slightly and shot slightly lower down, although I can't complain about the composistion you've already got to be honest.

Obviously its best to experiment, primarily get the camera away from eye level, go up or down, just avoid the standard shooting position.

Excellent shot love the detail and the way it takes one back in time..

I don't know what's out of shot in front of the truck, but I would consider panning right a bit
a) you'd lose the bin
b) the truck has room to drive into

also, not sure if it's not a little dark?
wonder if sepia would work :shrug:

all that said, I like it!
