Optical wipes vs. Lenspen

I bought a big box of optical wipes for my specs a while back and wondered if there'd be any advers effects if I were to use them on my camera lenses. The wipes are 'Dr. Optic' and the tag-line under the name reading 'Care for coated lenses'. Does anyone use anything similar, or are there any reason not to use them.

I wouldn't take the chance. I suspect that the coating on specs is different/tougher than lenses.

Dunno about those particular wipes, but we clean hundreds of lenses a week with these:

(Kimtech Science Precision Wipes)

We find that 90% of the time, a quick blast with a rocket blower followed by breathing on the lens and using one of these wipes is fine. Though occasionally we have to work a bit harder.

Cheerse to all, and that makes me feel a bit better about using mine Stewart.

And might be ringing you about lens hire at some point, off to Marwell next month :)
