This is my first time posting images for critique on the website, so here goes.
Please feel free to give your honest opinion and constructive criticism to benefit my photography in the future.
I recently bought a second hand canon 90-300mm Zoom lens to add to my 40D collection so I thought I'd try it out today on the girlfriends cat and our dog.

The cats are sharp, the dogs aren't.
Overall though, nothing horrid in the backgrounds and nicely exposed, with decent eye level and eye contact.

Thanks. I must admit outside I didn't have the sturdiest hand with the bigger lens on, even with trying to breathe and hold. Maybe I ought to invest in a monopod.
