Taken with Nikon D90 with 18-105 lens. Cropped a little.
One of first shots with new camera so go easy please ! :)

Very nice shot,you captured the eye very well,I would prefer a bit more owl and a bit less roof (LOL) and a bit more space on the LHS.

Thanks Chris. Someone was holding the owl so there was their body on the left and their arm where the claws are so didn't want to get them in shot.
 
Just purchased a 70-300 VR so should be able to get better shots now.
Is this image sharp enough or do I need to work on focus point more ?

Agree about trying to get the black b/g but dissagree about the comp...spot on in my eyes.
