I wonder if that's a migrant or one released after being raised from one of the Amazon/ebay kits?

There are several around this area at the moment. Also lots of Red Admirals, last year I think I saw two, but hundreds of Peacocks. At the same time as the Painted Lady was on the shrub there was also a Comma, Peacocks, Red Admirals, Small Tortoiseshells, Large White and another smaller species I couldn't see well enough to ID.
