Panoramic Printing on an A3 Printer

I've been struggling to find this out on here and the internet in general.

On an A3+ printer what is the longest panoramic print size that you will be able to use? As an A3+ printer will have a width around 14 inches, will you be able to print a 12 by 36 inch panoramic?

As far as 13 inch A3 printers go, depends on the printer model. My Canon Pro9000 will do up to 13x26 at best. Some Epsons I think can do around 13x42 or 44 but not sure if that's with fooling the printer or not.

Apparently the HP B9180 will do 39x13 inches, but I haven't tried it.

I think it depends on the printer and software, but if you tell it you have a roll of paper it should print the max width by the length of the roll.

Thanks for your comments guys. Has anyone else had any experience with printing large panoramics, and which system were they using to print them on?
