Hi guys

Just looking for a bit of guidance really on how to create a photo montage in Photoshop. I did have a guide on how to do it but I have lost it. I'm guessing it is quite simple. All I want to do really is have 3 or 4 photos put on the same canvas spaced out.

I've had a little go but could not get it quite right.

Sorry my explanation isn't amazing.
 
Keep 1 photo as your background or make a new blank layer for your background.
Open a photo you wish to include - Select the move tool (V) and drag your photo upwards towards the tab of your previous background, this will then open, then release your mouse. Press Ctr+T to enter free Transform and then holding Shift you can then resize the picture. Do this for each picture you want to include in your collage.
You could add guides to they become evenly spaced.
You could make selections from your pictures and make a collage that way.
One more thing to try
Start with a blank white layer.
Drag out a custom shape and fill it with black.
Copy a photo onto the next layer above and make it a clipping layer.
Your picture should then only appear in the shape that you made.
Then repeat the process.
I think I've got that right as I'm in work at the moment and have not got access to my laptop.
