did another version of this a bit more serious lol (http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=89131) but i thought id try and do somehting a bit diffrent, tell me what you think good or bad lol thanks


any comments? or critisism?

Hehe, I wouldn't really call this technique "different", but it's okay.

Not a fan of selective colouring myself but, well done.
 
i just thought it be cool to see what it looked like in alternative colors. i really like the effect of selective color but probably just me lol
 
When I look at it. I think it's a cool idea. All I think that lets it down is the B&W conversion, which looks a bit flat here. I've just had a quick go bringing the levels in which seems to work well. It give the whole image a lot more punch.

wow your right i hadnt noticed just how flat it was, i prefer yours lol

how do i do it ?
 
I assume you on PS.

I just created an adjustment layer for levels. Then brought the levels in til the arrows met the start or the curve. I also painted black on the mask so I didn't effect the psychedelic bit.

Or, just go to image>adjustments>levels bring the levels in. That would also effect the center of the eye though.
