I think that it's suffering a little from being a little over exposed, also I'd like to see a full shadow

I'd have to agree about the shadow. A wider shot to include the bottom of the shadow would be better.

Also, it shows you have more than one light source. There are two shadows. One way of sorting this is to use constant gentler lighting for the subject. Then use a stronger flash to throw a sharp shadow. You can play with the shadow sharpness by balancing the constant lighting against the flash.

Hope that makes sense. I'm not too good at explaining what I've done before.
