the little babies will grow to bananas
the plant is upright till the fruit becomes heavy and bends over
then the bananas are harvested and the plant cut to the ground as being the mother it dies, and the babie plants shoot out around it
in the ground there is a corm from which the new shoots grow..to be transplanted and some left to replace the one that died
each crop requires a new plant
