Pooley Bridge

I do struggle with landscapes they always tend to look a little flat but I do like these two.

Both were taken in Febraury this year on the stone bridge at Pooley Bridge in the Lake District.

I like both as they are but suppose number 1 may be a little dark. Do you think number 2 would be better cropped about half way up where the land starts on the left hand side?

#2 for me. I think it's actually one of those shots which works with different crops. This one's fine but it would also work with the crop you suggest

It might be better with your suggested crop as it will remove those twigs/branches on the bottom left.

I've just tried that crop:

Problem is it highlights an out of focus branch I hadn't even seen before :bang:

If I crop it to the left of this it spoils the composition
