Portrait practice – locating a model.

I want to practice my portraits. My Mrs hates sitting and I don't really want to hassle family and the kids.

So..... how can I go about getting time with a model (any description really) that is willing to sit for free in exchange for any shots I take?

You can find plenty of models from sites like Purestorm and Net-Model. Many of the amateur models will happily do a TF shoot for free in exchange for some free images from the shoot.
I myself use models and studios from people i found on Purestorm.

If you've got a couple of flashguns why not join the strobist bootcamp?

1st assignment is for two people to take portrait/headshots of each other. He suggests that you find someone preparing a cv, but I dont see any reason why you couldnt use anyone.
