No
that means....
a) driver/rider being the main focal point of the photo
b) not actually driving the bike/car / in motion
c) shot = singular not plural = one single shot = a shot = a photo
d) stricly no starting your post with 'this isnt my favourite, but....'
e) the more famous the driver/rider the better!

:)

this would be my fave

Oops, looks like Nigel stopped this thread in it's tracks.

How about a bit of Jodie to refresh interest?

Took this when i went to the Nurburgring two years ago on my GSX-R 750 K5. Its that chick Sabine who is always on Top Gear. Bloody quick driver as well. Quality not the best as it was a point and shoot which i had with me at the time.

Lewis Hamilton at the 2007 Goodwood Festival of Speed.

He turned up for the afternoon of the Sunday - this was the first time he had been in the UK and made a public appearance since taking F1 by storm in his rookie year.

I was working for the Richard Burns Foundation at the time and he agreed to meet us at the top of the hill to sign the bonnet vent of our Subaru Impreza RB320 (#171) we were auctioning.

Caught with my trusty old Canon 400D and 18-55 Kit Lens.

(hosted on Facebook so crappy colours and compression)

guys (and girls), just a reminder of the original brief.

a pic of a rider in action on a bike, or a driver driving a car, is just a normal motorsport picture innit :)

It would have to be this one, although my options are somewhat limited :)... It's in focus, but I missed the settings and had it set for Tv panning mode at 1/60... so there's subject motion blur, I had the lens at the wrong focal length... and not time to adjust anything... Technically there's so many things wrong with it, but.... I like it. This was Lewis as he signed my sons Goodwood FOS ticket last year.

Sorry I stretched the rules....haven't sorted sending pictures yet (age thing) but if you know motor sport, you will know my favorite by my avatar, I my opinion one of three, best I've ever seen live, Fangio 1958 and Micheal S. :1st:

My Girlfriend with Tommy Searle, Sheffield Supercross 2008.

Tommy Searle, Professional World Motocross GP rider and just moved over to American, races for Muscle Milk KTM, sponsered by Alpinestar, Shift, etc.

Not a good quality shot, but the driver is showing his maturity (or lack of..) following 2 race wins at Snetterton in 2006. I love the picture though :D
