Puffin and Gannets at Bempton

I took these at Bempton cliffs on Sunday, my first attempt at photographing birds and was lucky enough to see a puffin!

I was using a Canon EOS 450D and the stock 75-300 lens.

I'm a bit disappointed with the sharpness but the lens was at full zoom and hand held but was glad to get the puffin in sunlight.

Any comments are welcome especially how to improve sharpness without spending a fortune on better lenses!

Good captures, there is no substitute for better glass I'm afraid, you'll have to start saving your pennies
