Puffins, etc

A few from the Farne Islands on Wednesday. Still a little early in the season (no sandeels!), and my first attempt at bird in flight shots - was just about hitting them by the end of the day, but damn it's tricky!

The puffin is sure puffing its chest out in the first one.

Hah yeah, his wings looked so stubby like that that I doubted he was really going to be able to take off!

Great shots. Beautiful colours and so sharp and full of detail particularly the underside of the birds wing in no 1

That first shot is excellent, such nice colours and great clarity. The rest are excellent too.
