Quick/Instant Snoot - Observation

Having read through the Strobist tutes online, I've been meaning to make a few of their recommended 'cheap & easy cardboard snoots'.

By coincidence, I'd just bought some Nivea aftershave balm a couple of days ago (the newer kind, with 'upside down' bottle), and the size of the box looked suspiciously similar to the size of the flash unit head. :eek:

Actually, it fits perfectly straight onto a Nikon sb600, and the YN460 units that I'd recently bought from FITP. So there you have it - instant snoot :D

Probably not a huge time saving compared to making your own out of a cereal box, but i thought i'd just mention it in case it saves someone a few minutes
 
here you go - apologies for the low quality, in a bit of a hurry today...

the fun thing is that if you want a 'longer' snoot, you can just tape one of the boxes together/within the other & that works quite well (yes, they had these things on a 3-for-2 offer ;)

thats not quite as cheap as my 99p piece of black foam around 2mm thick from craft shop A3 size & an elastic band :).

Works just the same really :D
