Regarding the photos... The animal is just beautiful but I am afraid that your photos are out of focus. The crop of the first photo is too tight for me. I think it will be better to have more from the horse head. I think that you went for accent on the straw but it does not work for me.
For the second photo I am to too keen on the position of the horse! I can see that you took that photo on sunset and the light will fall at an angle. I would prefer to see the light hitting the horse head from the side, i.e. the eye to be lighted. Now the side of its face is in the shadow and is loosing detail (plus out of focus). You can also loose the body and make tighter crop on the head.
