I have recently purchased a canon 80D of the forums and today grabbed an RC-6 Remote control.

I have googled and read the instructions but I dont seem to be able to get it working?

Any ideas on how to get this going from experiance guys and girls?

Many Thanks

:thinking::thinking::thinking:

PS never used one but having a quick gander....................apart from that there is/maybe a setting in the camera to 'allow' its use. I read one comment that the RC-6 IR signals are received by the IR sensor on the front of the camera i.e. you cannot use it from the rear of the camera!

Maybe that throws some light on the issue for you???

Hi Greg

Its need to be pointed from the front, the sensor is on the front grip under the shutter switch.

Sorted, well kinda sorted, need to work out if there is a way to adjust the timer on the remote to take 10 photos with a 2 second delay so I dont have to keep holding the fish haha

Can you use the phone app instead Greg?

Not tried it for fish holding selfies before though:giggle:
