Red Arrows Over My House

Hi, a bit of lurker here! Just moved from the D40 to the D90, first time poster of photos as well!

Every year when the Red Arrows fly over the Bristol Balloon Festival they use the area above our house as a turning area, so this means from my front garden I can grab some photos.

So here are a couple of my better ones, straight from the camera except for cropping and sharpening. Any feedback appreciated.

Nice pics Ross -lovely blue skies, better than we had at Portrush last Saturday when the Reds had to abort half way through. What lens did you shoot with? merv :clap:
 
i really like the composition on #1 looks well exposed and sharp too! Nice
 
To be honest Jilly I was just playing around with the settings, as I had only received the D90 a few days before!
 
These make mine look total sh%t, I thought I had managed to capture some okay ones.
But these you got are very good.
