Whilst heading down to Newquay (Cardigan Bay) for a short break and a bit of dolphin watching, we passed the Bwlch Nant yr Arian visitor centre and saw around 150 Red Kites circling! Upon our return home, we called into the centre to find out more and had just missed the daily feed by an hour or so, although there were around 6 birds still in the area. We'll be planning another trip down there soon.

Love that second shot; nice glint in the eye (y)

a often overlooked site ,seen some good pics from there

Many thanks for the views and for those of you that have replied. My Mum lives in Maidenhead and has Red Kite's visit her house daily, although they're a bugger to photograph as, even though they're circling and watching, they suddenly dive into her garden, so it was great to spend half an hour at the centre. We're planning on returning in June.
