I have a redsnapper tripod - a combination RSF-284 with RSH-12 ball head, which I bought for £90 over a year ago. Two days ago I managed to break the ball head while taking some images of the stars; I guess I tightened it too much and it came off. I'm on holiday, with lovely dark skies compared to my home in London, and really want to take more photos (if the weather holds!).

I dropped a panicked email off to redsnapper, very late in the evening, with photos of the damage, asking what I can do. I got an email back first thing in the morning explaining how I can effect a temporary fix with glue (so that I can keep using it on holiday), along with a request that I send it back to them on my return so that they can send me out a replacement.

Great customer service that I thought was worth sharing!
