Great colours and action in these. My pick is the one with Robbie (#4?) appealing for handball.

Did any one else have to take a second look at the third shot (the tackle). At first look i thought the #3's foot was pointing the wrong way, then i realised that it is the #7's leg!!

PS: Numbering the photos would help, i found myself having to scroll up and down counting the photos.

Nice work. Quality sharp colourful & well exposed pics. Isn't Keane a laugh with his face all contorted like that.

Top stuff.

Any info on kit used & technique will be appreciated.

Hey Tobers

Canon 1D MKII (waiting for MKIII), 300mm f/2.8, ISO 800, 1/500 for most of the shots.

Technique - being good :LOL: I brought 2 "apprentices" with me on Wednesday night and they commented about how difficult it is to photograph a football match. I'd like to see how they do at rugby ;)

Cool - ta for that. Looked very much like a 300 2.8. I reckon football would be a bit trickier than rugby, but I've not done much of it myself. I have a hard enough time with the rugby stuff. Doing top flight footie must be a bit of a hoot though.

You'll love the MKIII. Beautiful camera. Never had a problem with mine though I know others have, but mine is spot on. Yummm.
