its a really good show and would highly recommend it for seeing different cars. It was fairly quiet though, a good mix of retro and some non retro cars aswell.

guessing not many people are interested in retro car show photos then, another topic i wish i hadnt posted

Love number 4 I've got a real soft spot for old escorts
Thanks for posting that one.

The ones of some of the other cars, sierra for example don't do a great deal for me, subject wise.

Still great panning, I'm only viewing on my iPhone but from what I can see they're tack sharp, great panning.

thanks, fireforce is a bit of a challenge as it gets upto about 260 mph. Its not as bad as the shockwave drag car which could reach about 300 ish but i managed to get one good pan and then one lovely blur all the same. Thanks for looking figured that other than chazza no one else was interested in retro cars...

thanks, i wish the red escort had run in a different lane but every time it ran that side and i only had my 500mm lens with me so had no chance of a decent shot from round the other side of the track.

big credit from me i spent 2 days last month trying to pan at bruntingthorpe and found it so hard.these are ace.so much blur and su much detail.master of panning lol

:agree: These are lovely shots, especially the second set. I only wish I could do this as well as you, whenever I've tried panning I just go home embarrassed

wow, thank you. I guess i must have struck lucky with them then. All i can say is take lots of pics and play around with shutter settings and try a drag strip at a quiet event so you can practice thats all i did

That's insane! Way too much power for that car, but still pretty cool. It would cost me even more money to import it to the US. ;)

There is a MK1 in my driveway. :)

Never too much power :D
Cossie's in mk1/mk2 escorts are common as muck now, my dad's mk1 is cossied, running 300bhp, soon be up to 400 ;)

Get yourself onto www.oldskoolford.co.uk and www.turbosport.co.uk
Lots of knowledge on both the sites and very helpful lads (y)

Spanner28, the pan of the jet car's cracking (y)
Tried at classicford show, just couldn't get anything that crossed the line under 9 seconds

im lucky as i live less than ten miles from santa pod so get a bit of practise at fast car panning. Only thing i found that works is stand midway or just past midway down the banking and hope for the best

What a great place to practice pannning!

definately is, well worth a trip just make sure you decide to go to a decent show where nice cars are running
