Haven't posted in ages but have started taking the camera out a bit more when I take my daughter to various races. Sometimes it's a toss up between the DSLR and the dog - both at once are a challenge!
Yesterday was a regional XC event and I took a few of the club runners. I like the 3 below as they capture some emotion of the race/conditions and aren't typical of race pics (apart from the 1st I guess).
I took some running pics last weekend in probbaly some of the dimmest conditions I have encountered over the years with the ISO up at 12,800 at f/2.8 and 1/400th and I was surprised how well the D810 coped. Following that I did look at the low light specs of some other the mirrorless cameras on the market using DxOMark and was surprised the 810 still pretty much holds it's own for what I need with many of the new kids on the block so not tempted to have a change of kit just yet.
