I like them tim.
#1 is an interesting shot with it feeding but the sun spots/halos on the wave pulls your eye away. A wee bit central but hey ho.
#2 Those sunspots again
#3 I like this one and it looks even better on your Flickr.
#4 The best of the 4 in my opinion. The bird in the background gives it a bit of depth, even though the whites have blown a bit, but nowt that would spoil it.

Thanks Nigel, I do have a soft spot for these waders, and I am quite pleased with the way the Tammy performed.

They look slightly underexposed to me, I know it's difficult when you have water reflecting the light and a white bird
 
Lovely little birds

Exposure (on the bird) looks OK to me although I sometimes think my screen is a tad bright.

4 would be my pick (as already mentioned) as the 2nd bird does create that sense of depth.
