took this the other week and since i have just bought my 1st photoshop cs6 thought i would give colour pop ago

My first thought its a very busy picture, I would consider cropping it to remove the van and close it down to the nets and the floats and may be increase the brightness of the floats?

As Mark says, there's a bit too much clutter in the background.
I also don't particularly like the wonky look either, it works ok for motorsport but in this case I think it spoils it.
That's just my opinion though, I'm sure others will like it.

As it's your first photoshop play, could I be the first to say......

Hurry up and get the colour pop thing out of your system.

For me, personally, I really don't like it, but others might.
Apart from the pop, the pic doesn't do a lot, as it is, as said already, a bit busy, and I also am not too keen on the wonkiness.
