Actually yes #1 works for me too, as there is enough contrast in the flutterby to off set it.
And lol what happened to "busy as a bee"? huh?
I like the way the back leg is hanging down, rather like a pet dog or cat on the sofa.

I think the colours set the subject off fine Tara. There's been an SS flitting around the garden here but it seems obsessed with the Lavender and it's not the ideal colour (or shape) to do it justice.
