Scheduled image capture?

I am trying to build a system that can record either short videos (20 seconds) or image sequences 200 images at 20 fps. I would like to use a preprogrammed schedule, so I can capture 4-5 videos a day at a remote camera location. The site is remote, no power, wifi or mobile phone reception. I can build a Raspberry Pi based system, but was hoping to find someway to control a camera with a larger sensor, that can record at 4k. The whole lot need to run for a week or so, so will need a external battery.

I have a friend that dies this professionally. They use Raspberry Pis as controllers to whichever camera.
