This was a scan I did some time ago when we did not have the memory available that we have today of a glass plate amongst a collection taken 1910-1912 found mouldering in an old ladies outhouse. I have been collecting old pictures of the village for about 10 years - keeping up the tradition by taking "record" pictures over the last 30 years. The quality of the images on these plates is amazing and give a lovely view of life through the last century for us all to share. 1/4 plate mage scanned on flatbed as a negative and unfortunately only saved as a fairly small file. The photographer was the village Postman!

Thats amazing - looks ike he knew his stuff judging by the exposure and detail of the shot. Always happy to see these old images from the past, and its great that your continuing the documentation process through your own photography
