The light wasn't good at all last night but forced myself out of the house with the intention of shooting then converting to b&w.

Wouldn't normally use people in my landscapes and when these dog walkers popped over the hill I'd normally have waited for them to move on but this time decided to give it a shot.

I think the people give a sense of scale so its good to include them in this instance.
Cropping a bit off the top of the sky would improve the composition in my opinion.

Cheers Marie - I did wonder if the comp was maybe a bit 50/50 so a crop might be an idea.

For me it needs a cotrast adjustment as the grass could do with some highlights as could the whole image really.

I was disappointed not to see cliffs, given the title.
Have to agree with Alf re. the contrast.
I like that you included the people though.
