Shield Bug and a Scorpion fly

Went out for a wander this morning with the camera and 70-200mm IS f4 and noticed a bush with a few insects on. Was about to walk past and realised I had my Raynox DCR-250 in the back pack so snapped it on and took a few pics.

I have thought about selling the Raynox a few times now but after today I don't think I will.

The first shot is great, id maybe blur the leaf on the right to keep the focus purely on the fly but lovely lighting and colours.

2nd shot is fab too!!

Nice. I particularly like the Scorpion fly. Do keep the 250 - it gives you access to a huge additional world of subjects.

With the way you work with the 250 its definitely not worth selling...

2 great shots I like the shield bug and the tones... scorpion fly looks a tad on the blue side to me they are a real bright yellow.

Shield bug is a tad bright what lighting did you use for these?

The scorpion fly is a lovely shot with nice lighting

I love my dcr250, its just great, when put on a macro lens or onto a lens with extension tubes on, just gets you in that bit closer
