After seeing an item on Strobist, I thought I'd have a little play with the speedlights.

Just trying to light the scene on a thin plane, with minimal light falling on the work surface, or the flat side of the bread.

Worth persevering with??

Thanks very much, Matthew. I was kind of thinking that, but it's such a fine line between too much and too little. It would help if the slice was a bit flatter.

Something to concentrate on though! :D

You could also consider dumping the flash and having a go at light painting it :D but maybe that's just me (y)
