A shot of the remnants of a SMIDSY, rider was waiting to turn right van man was "blinded" by the low sun and driving too quickly for the conditions. Rider wasn't too badly injured, could have been worse.

Could have been much worse if a kid had been in the sea on the back - in an ill-fitting, badly adjusted helmet as they so often are.
 
Aye could have been much worse. Though the seat did seem to be structurally sound which is encouraging.
 
Hehe, Yeah never noticed that. Can't remember but I don't think it was cut but it might just be distortion.

It probably still has air in it i.e. it is inflated. When a bike tyre comes off the rim, the inner tube bulges out in that location and since they are no longer restrained by the tyre they stretch like a balloon and can be very fat.
