taken a while back this bird is part of a breeding program for snowy owls at harewood house (just love owls)

two preferably
this looks a bit wierd to me...good composition and exposure...just no face

just thougth it was different from the normal face on shots and show the mottled feathering on its head

I must admit I like to see the eye more but this does show some nice markings on a stunning looking bird, would love to see one of these in the wild

sorry...i do see now what your were showing...it did take me off guard a bit
but we musnt all fall into a regime of stock shots without some creativity

You have handled the whites really well and you have got very good detail in the body and the picture does make you look again. As you say it is different from a head on shot
