Sony 16-35mm F4 Questions

I'm after a few answers and am appealing to the collective TP expertise.
Has anyone used the Sony 16-35mm F4 on the Sony A7R and what are the real world results like?
I have the Canon 16-35mm F4 which seems to get better reviews especially at the 35mm end and in the corners and am wondering if I get an A7R to keep this lens and use with an adaptor (Metabones IV) or sell it an buy the Sony.

Sony seems to have the following pros; native lens needing no adaptor, effective AF. Cons; cost.

Canon; better 35mm and corners. Disadvantages; size/weight with adaptor, limited AF.

Any advice or comments on the Sony lens appreciated.
 
it's not the same but I use a canon 16-35 2.8 on the a7, and I find it a little ridiculous

i'd love the 16-35 FE but it's so expensive, if canon can make the 16-35 f4 IS for the price they do why can't sony match it
