You can upload directly to the forum from your computer, using the 'attach files' tab. Images must be no longer than 1024px on the longest size and no bigger than 500kb.
The other alternative is to upload to Flickr (or suchlike), copy the BB code, again, no longer than 1024 px on the longest side.
That's the gist of it, more detail here. Posting Images.
Also, there's a dedicated section for photos, best to post images in there rather than the 'talk' sections.
