Is that the sea?? Way over there? Is that the bit the flag tells me not to swim in?

Having tried to shoot Southport Beach, and failed miserably, I think this is cracking!
 
Dale I'd level the horizon. I think the flag could be bigger in the frame and less in the middle. Perhaps try a few more and play around with different compositions using the rule of thirds as a starting point.
 
cheers for the advive,it was a little tricky to get the comp right as i was stood behind the break water...which was quite high and as im only 5ft 8...i struggled, although the rule of thirds is something i tend to neglect, havent been photographing long, so will definatly bear that in mind next time. heading out again this week at some point so any advice is well received.
 
Great pic mate. Was out there myself the other night having a play with my new filters. I'll keep an eye out for you next time there is a good sunset!
