Captured this sparrow this morning under very difficult light. Wasnt really sure if it was going to be a keeper?

Taken at 300mm and cropped.

Hi Chris, looks good to me with just the right amount of shadow where it should be (y) A fairly dark subject against that sky is not easy to get right.
 
Male House Sparrow- good shot that Chris- spot on exposure wise

Not too many of these left now- Sparrows not Photographs :thinking:

Cheers Les. Its something different from the usual macro photography. The 70-300mm SSM G hasnt seen much action lately.
 
I havent used my 75-300mm for almost a year- got too involved in Macro and the wonderful Sigma 105mm f2.8

I must make the effort to get put and shoot something :naughty:

I originally had the 75-300, sold it and decided to spend £500 on a used 70-300 SSM. It so far hasnt earned its money :( REALLY need to get more use out of it.
