Had a go at shots without flash last night.

On the D60 ISO set at 1600 with 1/60 shutter speed

Still a lot to learn....
 
Think you also need to learn how to post the pics;). Nothing showing here.

I dunno what you've done wrong, all to do with what you highlight and cut a paste etc, sure someone'll put you right though. Cheers(y)

Not easy, is it!! with these sort of shots, black & white conversions work well mind - you're having to use high ISO so you may as well make the most of the grain is my thinking!
 
Yes Nick, Peterborough, though dark in most places it has its points where even at 3200 ISO you get good pics, problem with not using flash on the inside is, the light comes down on the riders from the outside so will be dark as in your pic 1.
 
With the meaningless challenge match this week I am looking forward to trying several things. Look out for the results.
 
Always full of action speedway. Any tracks North of the border?
 
Edinburgh is good for pics from the veiwing area.
One I took in 2005 from the first bend.
