Spider - no idea what type I'm afraid

That's just not right, is it? How can something have eight eyes and no face?! :D

Stunning capture though!

Boosh, it looks even better on your Flickr.

Now that is close!
Great detail.

I've not even got a Raynox yet!
I have a 250, I must admit they are not the easiest thing to master.

Out of curiosity, I checked the kit you used.
I must say I was surprise.
I was expecting to see a canon MP-E or an LAOWA ultra macro lens.

That makes it even more impressive (y)

Thanks Chris, The difference in lighting quality now I've received the Pope Shield diffuser is chalk and cheese.

Took about 10 weeks to get to me but well worth the wait.

And yes, I'm surprised I can get these results from a little old M43 system and a lens that looks the same diameter of a telescope eyepiece. :D

Eratigena atrica Terry.

The giant house spider is one of our fastest invertebrates, running up to half a metre per second. This large, brown spider spins sheet-like cobwebs and pops up in the dark corners of houses, particularly in autumn.

Paul.

Ah thanks Paul.
