Spirit - first low light event

Spirit has been showing for 6 years and for some reason I always miss it - probably because of the weather! Anyway, as it was a nice day today I ventured to Dewsbury for the extravaganza - can't believe I've not been before. It did rain, but I managed a few pictures between the downpours. These few are JPGs straight from the camera unedited.

Not done this before, only read about if for taking pics of bands - so these are wide open, slow shutter and fast ISO. I think I could get into this.

Any comments or advice would be very much appreciated.

Nice set of images there Dave, my personal favourites are #3 and #4 as I really love the lighting. Impressive as well to say they're unedited Jpegs.

Cheers - it was hectic taking the pictures as there was so much going on at once! Fantastic show though and would recommend keeping an eye out for it next year if anyone is in the area.

I've always tried to capture the finished article, probably the old school in me and the lack of free time to play around too much. Although I have recently started doing some studio stuff and playing around in GIMP so if I get a chance I'll play with some of the shots I took last night.
