I have been reading this forum for some time without really posting so thought it was time.
This is Diesel he is about four years old he has been with us for about 6 weeks

Good healthy looking dog there - my preference is #2 though I would like a little space below his ears. #1 is just too tight for my taste.

Thanks Tina he is very healthy its hard to photograph him as his face is so dark.

Well you have captured the spirit of the spaniel beautifully there! And long may he continue to be like that. I have many pics of my springer and almost all of his early days are a blur! At least he his now old enough to have slowed down for me now to get 'posed' shots.

No.3 is the way springers should be photgraphed, doing what they do best.
I'm tempted to get our first family dog and it will have to be a springer.

You may already know about them, but there are several springer rescue centres with dogs to adopt. If you google 'springer rescue UK' you'll come up with several options.
We'll want pics, of course, of your new companion!

Diesel is a rescue springer he came from the northern english springer spaniel rescue better known as NESSR online.

The action shot of Diesel is well captured, well done. I too have many "blurred springer shots" where I've been too slow !!

Believe me for every good picture I have 20 or more blurred or tail shots.
