best thing was being able to touch the stones.

It was very hard to get a long enough exposure to show the stones without the flames blowing the shot, so there's a mixed bag here (more on Flickr) and I really would appreciate advice on what I should have done to improve things

please keep in mind that there were hundreds of people milling about in the dark and my tripod was tripped over a number of times :cautious:

Really like #1 - good composition, and excellent lighting.

#4 is just too bright for me and doesn't really do it for me.

#2 & #3 are really good lighting wise, but I don't really like the composition I'm afraid - it's all a bit too central for my liking.

All in, I think it's some really good lighting/exposure, but the composition doesn't always work. Nice set, and thanks for sharing!
 
thanks for the comments guys :) no. 4 is light because I wanted to expose the stones :)
