Strawberry Snail?

I think this is a Strawberry Snail. About 1cm across.
I've just taken delivery of a Vivitar Macro 5000 ring-flash (for the princely sum of £14 delivered) and was trying it out.
I held it slightly above and to one side, off-camera.
I thought a snail would be easy, being slow! Not quite as easy as I thought, once they decide to make an appearance, the eyes extend quite rapidly and beyond the DoF.

Yes the snails aren't as slow as you may think are they! Nice angle to the photo. Not sure as currently looking on an uncalibrated screen but it does look a bit dark to me.

Not sure about being dark, it looks ok to me? I'd be interested if anyone else thinks so.
Could of course be that my monitor is off
In which case, let's know and I'll take a look at it.
